| Still no beginning has been made in the instruction of singers, and the absolutely necessary modification of the choir and the organ still have not taken place. These preliminary preparations demand, in my opinion, a suitable time to accomplish. My present situation is such that I am unable to await the fulfillment of this reform and the realization of my hopes based upon it. | Überdies ist noch kein Anfang zum Unterricht für Sänger und Sängerinnen gemacht und die unumgänglich notwendige Umänderung des Chors und der Orgel bisher noch unterblieben. Diese vorläufige Anstalten erfordern, wie ich glaube, immer noch eine ziemliche Zeit, da indessen meine dermalige Situation so beschaffen ist, daß ich außer Stande bin, die Vollziehung dieser Reform und die Erfüllung meiner darauf gegründeten Hoffnung zu erwarten. |
